Can a single report contribute to quantum social change? Yes! The IPBES transformative change assessment is an invitation to actively engage in conversations and actions that matter.
Thank you, good doctor! I had a chance to read through the summary, and it is truly an inspired and inspiring effort. And glad you found some "Mwe-time" to reconnect and integrate. The world will catch up with you, Karen. It really will!
Hi Zhiwa, The SPM and all chapters are available here at this link: https://www.ipbes.net/transformative-change-assessment. The link brings you to a Zenodo page. While it says that the SPM is restricted, the document can be downloaded as a pdf file right below the window where you can scroll through the document. (I will ask IPBES why it says "restricted" rather than "open" here. Thanks for pointing it out!
Thank you for all your hard work and contribution to the cause. I was so excited when Kirsten Ellen Johnsen told me about it!
I haven’t read yet, but from what I’ve read so farI have my suspicions this is what I’ve been working on the marketing campaign for in about the same timeframe! (I just went viral on TikTok for this and mentioning the inception of the #BelieveDifferent movement.)
When I’m finished with the paper, would you be open to having a chat?
Thank you! It would be great to talk when you are finished with the paper. It sounds like we are very much aligned -- #BelieveDifferent and #YouMatter :-)
Thank you for your work, Karen! I’m glad to find you on here and am looking forward to reading your back catalogue. Contributing to IPBES is a major commitment. I considered putting my name forward for the spatial planning assessment but just couldn’t commit the time unfortunately. Next time! Anyway, this is just to say thanks as I know contributing comes at the cost of other things.
Thank you so much for sharing the report and posting this thoughtful summary. I will review the report in great detail and actively utilize it to cultivate change in my local community.
Great work you are doing and my pleasure from Uganda nakivale refugee settlement camp

Thank you Zhiwa! And thanks for your continued inspiration and support. The news about the bison initiative is fantastic!
Are you aware that access to the IPBES Report is now restricted? Why would they do that? Seems rather self-defeating and not in the public spirit.

Thank you Jonathan! It was definitely a time commitment but very rewarding to work with such a great group of researchers from around the world.

Well done 👏
I'm in. Let me know what I can do to support this. I'll start by restacking.
