YOU MATTER. Karen, I wish I could share this with every person on the planet, thank you for bringing this to light.

Two questions:

1) What do you think about "You matter more than you think." vs "You matter more than you believe."?

2) I've been wanting to chat for a minute. Myself and some others are working on a Believe Different campaign to shift the culture, along with a reverse Powell Memo doc to all the various fractured movements (127 by my last count) to unify the messaging and turn the tide of small actions.

Aren't you one of the people who put the IPBES report together? Fractal change is everything, and we're putting a strategy around it, not just enacting policy change, but inspiring a cultural shift.

Care to have a conversation soon?

Hi, Thanks for your message -- please feel free to share the post! Regarding 1), I agree that beliefs are powerful. (I'm fond of the QBist interpretation of quantum physics, as described in the chapter on Beliefs). But mattering goes deeper than beliefs and cognition ("more than you think" can be ambiguously interpreted in several ways, including as an embodied energy). Regarding 2), I would be happy to talk and hear more about your work. I was a co-chair of the IPBES Transformative Change Assessment and we are working intensely now to finalize articles for a special issue of a journal, and doing a lot of presentations. What time zone are you in? I'm sure we can find a time to chat!

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." C.G. Jung.

We do have free will in a certain extent and it 'matters' (turns into matter) what you think and do. Thank for you Q-less post 😉

I deeply believe this and hope it emerges in my lifetime:

‘Behind it all is surely an idea so simple, so beautiful, that when we grasp it - in a decade, a century, or a millennium - we will all say to each other, how could it have been otherwise? How could we have been so stupid?’

— John Archibald Wheeler

I wonder whether it will be something about a ‘participatory universe’ created anew in every instant by the interplay of energetic frequencies impacted by emotional states.

Your emphasis on effective climate messaging resonates with me. In "Lost Paradise: Collective Actualization," I discuss how personal growth narratives intersect with environmental concerns. I'd love to hear your thoughts: https://ridingthecurrent.substack.com/p/lost-paradise-collective-actualization

Yes you can make beautiful meaning out of this Q word matter while amplifying Flow. I like how you quoted david Bohm who put it like this …” meaning is the glue that holds societies together. Without SHARED MEANING our world of potential collapses into different, often conflicting realities. Societies fragment.” And our quantum heals the fragments while we de-polarize in community..like this. Good glue…Thank you, Karen 🙏🙂
